Pollinator Day at the Garden was beautiful! We enjoyed seeing new, current, former and potential future gardeners touring the garden and learning about all of the ways pollinators make our garden fruitful and productive. Our beekeepers Barbara Klieforth and Natashia Davis were on hand and demonstrated how they inspect the beehives and make sure the colonies are healthy. Good news! We’ll have some honey soon! New gardener, April, harvested the fruits of her first-time ever garden! And our grape vines are full thanks to the pollinator bees. The grapes should be ready for harvesting in September. Special thanks to Denise Hamler for organizing this great event, and, also, to everyone who helped tidy up the garden and spread mulch the last couple weeks!
